Freshii Experience + Warrior Chicken Bowl

FOOD – review

So to start things off, I have a love hate relationship with Freshii. I’ve eaten at Freshii maybe 6 times and their food is quite yummy but the portion sizes are huge. Which is one of the reasons why I’ve only eaten their food 6 times. The other reason is because I received a wilted/soggy salad last month. Back to portions, I did send an email to Freshii to ask if they offered ½ sizes and if there would be a price reduction. I have yet received a reply, which I am not too happy about since I believe it is stated on the website that they would reply with 24 hours. I ended up calling 5 different stores in Toronto before someone answered. The associate said that they would give you less food if you want but it will cost the same as the full order, which is unfortunate.

I’ve been really craving rice this past weekend so today I decided to order the Warrior Chicken Bowl, which I have had before. It comes with brown rice, Cajun chicken, Sweet Corn, Red Onions, Diced Tomatoes, Carrots for $7.29. Now you are allowed to make substitutions (within the same price category) if you’re not a fan of one of the ingredients listed. So I don’t really like tomatoes, so I substituted the diced tomatoes for cilantro. I also added jack & cheddar cheese for $0.75 (fyi goat cheese is a better cheese option in this bowl). My meal came to $8.04, with tax $9.08.  For some reason my bowl was missing the red onions, but I had already left the mall when I noticed the missing ingredient so it wasn’t really worth it to go back and complain, plus the store was really busy (20+ people in line) so I’ll let it go this time.  Other than that the bowl was very good.

Aritzia Repairs

FASHION – customer service

I received the TNA lambs wool sweater for my birthday last month and after a few wears (no washing) the stitching on the left pocket unraveled. So I took the sweater to the Eatons Centre Aritzia on Tuesday, January 11 to complain, and the sales associate was extremely nice and helpful with the matter. She said they would repair the pocket free of charge and that I would have my sweater back in approximately 7 days. I actually received a call from Aritzia on Sunday, January 16 stating that my sweater was repaired and ready for pickup. On Tuesday, January 18 (today) I was finally able to go to the store to pickup my sweater, the staff was friendly (the girl I bought my suit/mittens from last week still remembered me) and the sweater looks to be in good shape. I am pleased with the customer service provided by the Eatons Centre Aritzia staff.

Experience – 9/10

Boxing Day 2010 Trip to Aritzia at Shops at Don Mills

FASHION – shopping trip

I know this post is a little late, but I just felt that I should blog about my experience and what I bought during this shopping trip.

There were 3 reasons why I chose the Shops at Don Mills location.
1st reason – Fairview Mall which is closer to me was opening their doors at 7am, and Shops at Don Mills was 8am.
2nd –Shops at Don Mills is relatively close to my home.
3rd – Shops at Don Mills it not that busy as it is an outdoor mall and has a more refined clientele.

So I got to Aritzia around 7:50am there were a few cars parked in-front of the store and there were 2 or 3 people standing outside the door in the cold so I opted to stay in the car, then around 7:55am a handful of people decided to get out of their cars and line up so I joined the line and I was maybe the 10th person at the door. Finally at 8:05am the doors opens and off I went shopping. My experience was quite pleasant it wasn’t to busy no pushing, shoving or long lines. I was able to grab everything on my list plus some, try everything on and pay in a little over an hour, which from what I hear from friends was not their experience at the Eatons Centre and Fairview Mall.
