FOOD – review
So to start things off, I have a love hate relationship with Freshii. I’ve eaten at Freshii maybe 6 times and their food is quite yummy but the portion sizes are huge. Which is one of the reasons why I’ve only eaten their food 6 times. The other reason is because I received a wilted/soggy salad last month. Back to portions, I did send an email to Freshii to ask if they offered ½ sizes and if there would be a price reduction. I have yet received a reply, which I am not too happy about since I believe it is stated on the website that they would reply with 24 hours. I ended up calling 5 different stores in Toronto before someone answered. The associate said that they would give you less food if you want but it will cost the same as the full order, which is unfortunate.
I’ve been really craving rice this past weekend so today I decided to order the Warrior Chicken Bowl, which I have had before. It comes with brown rice, Cajun chicken, Sweet Corn, Red Onions, Diced Tomatoes, Carrots for $7.29. Now you are allowed to make substitutions (within the same price category) if you’re not a fan of one of the ingredients listed. So I don’t really like tomatoes, so I substituted the diced tomatoes for cilantro. I also added jack & cheddar cheese for $0.75 (fyi goat cheese is a better cheese option in this bowl). My meal came to $8.04, with tax $9.08. For some reason my bowl was missing the red onions, but I had already left the mall when I noticed the missing ingredient so it wasn’t really worth it to go back and complain, plus the store was really busy (20+ people in line) so I’ll let it go this time. Other than that the bowl was very good.
